WHAT TO BRING FOR A DAYTIME WAFTING EXPEDITION
*warm days: wear a swim suit if you want to get wet, if not, shorts and t-shirt
*cool days: loose fitting pants (jeans are not recommended) and sweat shirt or light jacket
*footwear - sneakers or water shoes (tevas, chacos, simple rubber pullovers)
*head covering - ball cap or wide brimmed hat is recommended,
but the majority of the time on the water is spent in the shade of
trees overhanging the river
*optional: water bottle or light snacks in small container, but most wafters do well without either
*cameras: they are permissible, but need to be hanging
around one's neck or in a waterproof container; but we do
not encourage a lot of picture taking as we want you to be fully
focused with your own senses on what you are experiencing
*what not to bring: cell phones and all personal electronic
devices; squirt guns; alcoholic beverages of any kind; mosquitoes are
not active on the river during the day time so insect
repellant is not ncessary
WHAT TO BRING FOR A NIGHTTIME WAFTING EXPEDITION
*warm nights: shorts and t-shirt
*cool nights: loose fitting pants (jeans are not recommended) and sweat shirt or light jacket
*footwear: sneakers or water shoes
*optional: water bottle and snacks are not usually needed at night
so we encourage you to leave them behind; at night, mosquitoes are
genrally not active once we are out on the river but
they may be active on shore as we gather and set up for our
expedition, so insect repellant may be useful
*what not
to bring: cell phones, all personal electronic devices, flash
cameras, flash lights or head lamps; squirt guns; alcoholic beverages
of any kind - and for your own safety and to ensure an orderly
experience for everyone, please do not consume alchohol before
participating in nighttime wafting on the eno river.
