Cancellation Policy

Once you have sent in your reservation check, we watch the weather carefully as weather conditions can vary greatly in different parts of the Triangle during the warm season.  If we decide that a scheduled wafting expedition needs to be cancelled due to either rain or high water - our only two reasons for cancelling, we will telephone you beforehand and notify you of the cancellation. In such a case, you will have the choice of rescheduling or having your check torn up.  But Riverdave, only, is the one who makes the decision about the weather. If you do not hear from us on the scheduled day of your wafting trip, that means we have determined that the weather is such that it will allow for the wafting expedition and we expect you to be at West Point Park on time for the trip. In such a case, those who don't show up will not be eligible for rescheduling or to have their checks torn up.

Please note that we do not cancel wafting trips because of unusually hot weather, triple diget heat index days or air quality action days.  Most of our wafting trip is done in the shade of overhanging trees and the water is cool.  If it is a hot day, the Eno River is the place to be!
